Privacy Policy
Converticle is designed to know as little about you as possible. This page explains exactly what data is and isn't handled when you use converticle.com.
Your content never leaves your browser
All format conversions are performed by JavaScript running locally in your browser. The text you paste or type into the converter is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. We cannot read, store, or log it — the site has no backend that receives it. The source code is publicly available on GitHub if you'd like to verify this.
Data stored on your device
Converticle uses your browser's localStorage for a single item: your light/dark
theme preference. This value stays on your device, is not a tracking identifier, and is
removed if you clear your browser data.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like virtually all web hosts, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, user-agent, and requested URL) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This processing is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not run our own analytics and do not see individual visitor data.
Advertising
Converticle uses Google AdSense to display advertising that supports the site's hosting costs. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a range of third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any advertising cookies are set, and may choose non-personalised ads.

Links to other sites
Pages on this site link to external documentation (for example, Slack's and Atlassian's format references). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
Children's privacy
Converticle is a general-audience developer tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if analytics or new advertising providers are added — the update will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
